Brush/Yard Waste/Junk

The Town of Marion provides brush pickup to all town residents free of charge. Brush will be picked up the second full week of every month. During the second full week of the month, please place any brush you have next to your garbage cans. Larger brush piles may be picked up on Friday of the second full week of the month. Town residents may also utilize the brush disposal site at the quarry, which is accessible on Callen Dr and Staley St, if you would like to haul your own brush, from Monday- Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. There will be an attendant at the brush disposal site, but you are responsible for unloading all brush. Work orders will no longer be accepted for brush pickup. Brush will not be picked up at any time except for the second week of every month. The following regulations for brush pickup are in place: 

  • Trees and stumps will not be picked up by the Town, but residents can haul these items to the brush disposal site 
  • Brush over 6’ length and/or  3” diameter will not be picked up by the Town, but residents can haul these items to the brush disposal site 
  • No brush will be picked up by the Town in which an individual(s) or contractor has been hired to perform the work, but this brush may be hauled to the brush disposal site. No brush generated outside of town limits will be accepted. 
  • The brush pickup system and brush disposal site are for raw materials only. No lumber, building materials, tires, shingles, hazardous or special waste, wet paints, stains, motors, transmissions, metal equipment, household items, junk, etc. 
  • Brush trailers are available for reservation for large jobs. Please click here to reserve a brush trailer.
  • All grass clippings must be bagged and placed next to brush.

Junk will be picked up the third week of every month. During the third week of every month, please place any junk you have next to your garbage cans. Dump trailers are also available for reservation every weekend for junk. Junk cannot be taken to the brush disposal site.
