From frogs to salamanders, Hungry Mother is full of amphibious friends. Learn about our amazing native amphibians from Virginia Tech Herpetology Professor, Dr. Kevin Hamed before going on an easy hike to see what creatures might be around.
Meet at Parking Lot 3

Salamander Hike | 3:30pm
Continue the afternoon with Dr. Hamed as we venture into the wet world of salamanders to discover some of Hungry Mother's most elusive and fascinating residents. We will begin near the creek in Parking Lot 3 and then wander around to various prime salamander habitats. Wear shoes that you don't mind getting wet or dirty
