Hungry Mother State Park | Great Backyard Bird Count

If you like to bird watch on your own and are not familiar with inputting your bird list on ebird.org we can help. After bird watching at Hungry Mother, submit your bird list to the interpreter at the Discovery Center from Feb. 12- 15 and we will submit your list so all birds will be counted in the 2021 Great Backyard Bird Count.

Become a citizen scientist and learn about the birds in your backyard.
·All ages and skill levels welcome.
·Dress warmly & wear sturdy shoes. Always bring water. Event will be held rain or shine.
·Field guides and binoculars are not available due to Covid 19.

Search for Owls
6:30 a.m. at the boat ramp off of Mitchell Valley Rd.

Guided Bird Hikes
8 a.m. with volunteers Randy Smith & Mike Evans | Meet at the beach parking lot.
