Our Location:
The Plant is located by the "Hot & Cold" water tanks, at 160 Water Mill Road
Mission Statement:
The mission of the Water Treatment Plant is to protect the public health and environment by providing dependable, safe and high quality drinking water to our customers 24 hours a day, every day. We diligently work to meet and exceed all federal and state health and safety standards. We endeavor to maintain a reliable water production facility at an affordable cost to all of our customers.
Recent Accomplishments:
In March 2006, the Water Treatment Plant started renovating its facilities. The plant was upgraded from 2MGD (million gallons per day) to 3MGD and now utilizes state of the art equipment. Radio communications now link information from remote tank and pump sites to the new computer-based system at the treatment plant. The system improvements were completed in 2008.
In 2010, Carol Cale became a Class I water operator, while Jeremy Greer acquired a Class III water operator's license.
The design improvements along with new staffing have allowed us to be more productive and more efficient.
Goals:
The primary goal is to provide a safe and dependable high quality supply of drinking water.
- Keep abreast of newly implemented drinking water regulations and technological developments associated with drinking water supplies and treatment methods.
- Promote the installation of fire meters on commercial properties.
- Continually improve our operations and keep costs at a minimum.
- Continue on going training and career development for all of our employees.
