INSIDE CORPORATION LIMITS-SEWER
First 2,000 gallons-$6.60 minimum charge
Over 2,000 gallons-$3.99 per 1,000 gallons

OUTSIDE CORPORATION LIMITS-SEWER
First 2,000 gallons-$13.20 minimum charge
Over 2,000 gallons-$ 7.96 per 1,000 gallons

Water Charges for County Meters by contract - $5.05 per 1,000 gallons

Water Charges for Schools - $2.79 per 1,000 gallons

 

 WATER DEPOSIT:
	Renters	$50.00
	Deposits are due at all the time
 	of service application.

 WATER TAP:
	$450.00 (Inside corporate limits)
	$675.00 (Outside corporate limits)

 SEWER TAP:
	$300.00 (Plus cost of materials)

REFUSE COLLECTION:
Fee: $11.00 per month per unit

Your utility bill includes a charge of $11.00 per month for curbside refuse collection for residences. All residents of the Town of Marion are required to pay for this service. This includes one weekday pickup for household and kitchen waste, brush collections, leaf collections and one monthly junk day. Junk day is the third Monday of each month at which time the Town picks up old appliances, furniture and similar items. Items that will not be removed by the Town are construction materials, automotive fluids, batteries, tires, tree stumps, firewood and other wood products, paint, solvents, or other chemical products which will not be accepted by the Smyth County Transfer Station.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
 

Your water and sewer bill is based on you actual water consumption. This will vary depending on how many people are living or working in the service unit.

WHEN IS MY BILL DUE?
All Town of Marion customers are billed monthly. Payment is due 20 days from the mailing date.

HOW DO I PAY?

	1. You may pay your bill in person at the cashiers 
	   window in the Municipal Building located at 
	   138 W. Main Street, Marion, VA.
	2. You may drop off your payment in the drop box 
	   located in the back parking lot of the Municipal Building.
	3. You may mail your payment to Town of Marion
	   P.O. Box 1005, Marion, VA 24354.

TO CANCEL SERVICE:
 

Call our office (276) 783-4113 and give us the following information:

	1. Name the account is in
	2. Address of the account
	3. Date you want service discontinued
	4. Forwarding address where we may 
	   send your final bill,

Disconnections are done weekdays before 4:00 p.m. except in cases of emergency.
