Purchasing Dept.

The Purchashing Department consists of two employee's.  Billy Hamm has been the purchasing director since 1985.

Mandy Bowman is the purchasing assistant.  She has been a purchasing employee since 2010.

We are responsible for purchasing materials and goods for Water Treatment Plant, Sewer Treatment Plant, Fire Department, Police Department and all utility departments. We also maintain a stock room that contains all water and sewer line materials. This consists of soliciting quotations from various vendors to ensure the best priced merchandise for the tax payers dollars. We also track and record all the Town’s physical assets.  Highway maintenance expenditures to the State of Virginia are prepared, tracked and reported from this office. We also prepare a monthly spread sheet to tabulate all monthly accounts payable which consists of approximately $733,000.00 per month.
