The Lincoln Theatre is in the process of rebirth after 20 years of lying dormant. Originally, it was built in 1929 as a grand talking picture palace and vaudeville stage. Today, the Lincoln is one of three existing Mayan Revival (Art Deco) Theatres in America. Lincoln Theatre supporters are working to raise $2.5 million for restoration of the building's intended beauty and expansion of its space to house a variety of arts events. You can join the Lincoln Theatre, Inc. and help set the Stage for the Arts by e-mail or written request. |
