       Hungry Mother State Park

Hungry Mother State Park is located in Smyth County, Virginia, in the Southwestern part of the state. The 2,200-acre park is noted for its woodlands and 108-acre lake. In addition to fishing, Hungry Mother offers its visitors camping, cabin rentals, swimming, hiking, outdoor skills, and nature interpretation, and the Virginia State Parks System's first conference center: Hemlock Haven.
