On Saturday, October 21, 2017 from 10 am to Noon, Marion Downtown and the Upper Tennessee River Roundtable invite residents of all ages to share a few hours of their time and participate in “Treats-for-Trash," a downtown fall clean-up day.
“We are looking for volunteers who take pride in their community, and who want to make a difference by helping clean up our Downtown,” said Olivia McDonald, Executive Director for Marion Downtown. “Our goal is to have as much participation as possible. By working together, we can help keep our town clean for all to enjoy.”
The Upper Tennessee River Roundtable will provide all necessary supplies for the cleanup and Marion Downtown will be giving treat bags to all participants. Volunteers may participate individually or form a team. Prizes will also be awarded to whoever collects the most litter at the end of the clean-up.
The clean-up will help beautify Marion’s downtown by removing litter and debris.
Volunteers are asked to meet on North Iron Street beside The Lincoln Theatre on Saturday, October 21st at 10 AM.
Pre-registration is required by October 19th. To pre-register or for more information, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 276-378-5029.
