The Town of Marion's Community and Economic Development has a simple mission:  We Serve.  Our goal is to assist with developing, implementing, and evaluating policies, programs and activities that improve the economic well-being and quality of life for our citizens.  We partner with numerous public, private and non-profit organizations to sustain and enhance business recruitment and retention, assist with marketing and promotion of our business community, and provide training, incentives, and funding opportunities for new and growing businesses.  We host community events, festivals, and activities that are designed to provide entertainment, to facilitate business growth, and to provide a stable tax base.  We serve to provide the economic stimulus necessary to preserve Marion's unique historic character, making it a great place to live, work and play for citizens of all ages.
