Marion Urges Community to Support Law Enforcement on January 9th

Each day, local law enforcement officers work tirelessly to serve and protect the citizens of Smyth County. The National organization, C.O.P.S. has declared January 9th as National Law Enforcement Awareness Day, and the folks of Marion are needing your help to show support!

Wondering how you can get involved? It's simple! Please  show your support by doing any of the following:
• Fly a blue ribbon on your car antenna, mailbox, motorcycle, or anywhere it can be tied on
• Shine blue lights from your home
• Wear blue all day
• Send a card or have local schools make cards for the local department
• Host or attend a local rally in support of law enforcement
• Share your support on social media and change your profile picture to support your local department
• Most importantly, if you see a Police officer, THANK a Police officer

The folks of Marion, Chilhowie and Saltville Police Departments, the Smyth County Sherriff's Office, Virginia State Police and Hungry Mother State Park are what keep our communities safe, and The Town of Marion urges you to show your support for them on January 9th!
