WINNERS OF MARION DOWNTOWN’S 2017 SCARECROW LANE ANNOUNCED

For the sixth year in a row, Main Street in Marion Downtown was lined with two dozen of the most creative, wacky and fun scarecrows! Businesses and organizations throughout Marion worked exceptionally hard to create their scarecrows in hopes of placing in the annual contest. This year, the competition was by far the most impressive to date. Every participant went above and beyond to construct extraordinary scarecrows that were displayed throughout downtown Marion's historic district. The Town of Marion is pleased to welcome its newest business, Smyth County Surgical Associates, LLC, which is located at 239 Park Boulevard. Smyth County Surgical Associates is a single specialty private practice owned by Drs. Dawn Holman, M.D. and Aleksandr Sokolovsky, D.O. Both doctors are Board-Certified General Surgeons, and perform various surgical procedures as well as endoscopy. Dr. Holman did her medical training in Philadelphia and Chicago, and Dr. Sokolovksy in Chicago and St. Louis. Dr. Holman specializes in breast surgery, and Dr. Sokolovsky in laparoscopic surgery. She owns a similar shop, located in Greensboro, NC, where she currently resides.
