As part of the National Plan for Vacation Day on January 30th, the Town of Marion is encouraging folks to plan their vacations, and explore what all Marion has to offer!  Every year more than half of Americans (54%) fail to use all their time off, creating a stock pile of 662 million unused vacation days. STAY SAFE DURING FREEZING TEMPERATURES BY STAYING OFF FROZEN WATER

With freezing temperature conditions set to last for several days, Hungry Mother State Park, the Town of Marion and Smyth County Emergency Management are urging people to stay safe by staying off frozen water. The warning is issued as part of the Town's winter safety message. Marion Farmers Market Makes Plans to Host Winter Market Hours

This winter, Marion Regional Farmers Market has some surprises in store for you, as they will be open limited hours each month, January - April. Beginning Saturday, January 13th, the outdoor market will be open every second Saturday of each winter month, 10am - 12pm.
